The Last Spoon Spritz - Jar Cocktail (or Mocktail!)
Somehow, we blinked and poof, September packed its lunch and headed out the door. The calendar is flipped, the sun’s clocking out earlier each evening, and the fireflies have officially retired for the season.
The fields feel different now, a bit softer and quieter, like the farm itself is taking a deep breath before the holiday rush begins.
As the saying goes, “Autumn is the season that teaches us change can be beautiful," and also requires a better flashlight. (Seriously, who knew feeding the chickens could feel like a midnight mission by 7:15 p.m.?)
It’s the season of cozy layers, slow sunsets, and that nostalgic tug to savor what’s left, from the last lavender blooms waving in the breeze to the final spoonful of summer jam hiding in the pantry.
If your fridge looks like ours this time of year, there’s probably a lineup of nearly empty jam jars, the result of a month’s worth of PB&Js and lunchbox spreads.
